Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala-Kibale Forest National Park

After early breakfast at 0800am, take on a half day drive in to Fort Portal through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. A stopover in Fort Portal for lunch at Gardens restaurant, thereafter drive at your Leisure to Kibale with an afternoon crater walk of Nyinambuga. Meals and over night at: – Meal plan: (L, D)

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

An early morning breakfast ready for a chimpanzee walk in to the jungles of Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is informative, enjoyable and excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth for a sunset two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular and amazing bird life. Day 3: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Forests via Ishasha

An early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Proceed to Bwindi impenetrable Forest via Ishasha southern part of Queen Elizabeth for an outstanding game safari to spot the tree climbing lions and other rare wildlife with lunch in Ishasha. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Forest

Today is dedicated for Gorilla trekking experience in the jungles of Bwindi. Ready for briefing from UWA guides and rangers tacked in your trekking jungle boots, rain jacket with your walking sticks. Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to determine how long it will take you, this can take a heavy hike. The gorilla tracking excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Be ready to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, the floor is always wet. Time permitting after your Gorilla trek in the afternoon you will head for a community foot safari to discover and explore the local community, understanding their ways of life, receive some cultural performances. Day 5: Bwindi Forest- Lake Bunyonyi Islands

Today is dedicated for a drive to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale driving through the undulating highlands of southwestern Uganda on our way to the greener and beautiful Islands of lake Bunyonyi. Evening relaxation and sightseeing at the lodge. Meal plan: (B, L, D)

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi Islands

Wake up at your convince ready for a mid morning boat trip to the islands for a guided nature walk, sightseeing and cultural visit to the Batwa Pygmies community to explore their life style and birding along Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi – Rwanda

After breakfast, drive to Rwanda as you enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known to Ruhengere via Musanze. Thereafter drive by the lakes (Ruhondo and Mutera) arriving at Parc Volcanoes in the afternoon. The evening is spent on sightseeing and relaxing around the hotel. Day 8: Gorilla trekking Parc Volcanoes
Have breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guides. When you are done with the briefing you will begin the trekking. The trek can be quite tough that it takes a lot of time approximately 2-8 hours. After the trekking, return to your lodge for complete relaxation. Day 9: Golden monkey Trek – Kigali City Tour – Out

Morning is dedicated for golden monkey trekking, these rare species are also listed as endangered and the second most rated highlight in Parc Volcanoes thereafter a drive to visit of Kigali city which includes the Genocide Memorial centre at Gisozi. The Kigali City tour will enable you visit the colorful markets, genocide memorials and craft centers are the main areas of interest. You will be transferred to Kigali Airport for your outbound flight. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch End of service
